About This Project
This unique, inaugural journey from The National WWII Museum takes guests to the sites of the Pacific war, from Pearl Harbor to Iwo Jima and more with help from renowned historians and eyewitnesses to World War II. This is the first time a tour of the Pacific campaign has been offered to members. This self-mailing, 9 x 12, 5C brochure also used a vellum insert with gold metallic ink. The strategy of this piece was to present the tour as a one-of-a-kind opportunity to visit Iwo Jima and travel with WWII Veterans of the Pacific Campaign and to create a piece that prospects would want to hold on to. The tour was originally created for 80-90 passengers and within 2 weeks of the mailing, it was sold out with an additional wait list of 30 guests.
